About

Scattered across the East Coast, The Shed ranges in commentary from culture, politics, music, and sport. We aim to stray from the modern-day hegemony of headline pandering rooted in profiteering from an amalgamation of paranoia and rage, providing independent writing, free from influence of agenda-pushing benefactors.

Our collective fundamentally believes in calling things as we see fit. Striving for accuracy and objectivity: principles of the craft that have been warped to fuel mass turmoil. In the age of a Jerry Springer-esque societal divide, getting to the crux of matters is integral to finding a light at the end of the tunnel.

As our country, and the globalized world more broadly, is increasingly infected with collective psychosis, induced by an arms race of bottom dollar-hungry digital age-centric slop and aided by the rise of Artificial Intelligence; it is imperative to deliver ideas that are exclusionary of shock goading, mind numbing anti-intellectual pondering.

When something is definitionally stupid, it deserves lampooning and not legitimization. We hope to assist in the end of the New York Post and Daily Mailification of our current times, a contagion that has crept into the forefront of culture amid the post-Covid years.

With our publication, we hope to give our audience an alternative to the hare-brained, McThoughtpiece, bad faith actor bankrolled landscape so prevalent in today’s world. You, the reader, deserve writing rooted in a semblance of reality.
